Duffy's Dynamos. Day 2

Everyone slept well and ate a hearty breakfast to set them up for the day. Canoeing was a great adventure! We stepped off the canoe onto 1 Tree Island.  ( No prizes for guessing how it got its name!) After that we drank hot chocolate in the middle of the lake and listened to nature! The long paddle back to shore was really hard work but we were very proud of ourselves! We learnt a lot! 

Lunch was followed by orienteering. We learnt how to orient a map, draw a map and read a map. We used this information to find pictures and artefacts around the Derwent Hill site. Tonight is the night walk! We are armed with our torches and hope to ambush the other team before they ambush us! Let's see how that goes. more blog tomorrow with info and pictures.
